Eric Mabius will
be keeping his "Eyes" on a new set of characters starting
this fall.
Mabius, who co-starred in
the short-lived ABC drama "Eyes" last season and was also
a regular on "The L Word," will join the cast of "The
O.C." for the coming season. He'll have a recurring part as
the new dean of discipline at the Harbor School, according to The
Hollywood Reporter.
His character joins
the school's staff amid heightened concerns about the safety
of its mostly well-off students -- what with drugged-out girls
turning up in swimming pools and guns being drawn at local
hangouts. The dean will fairly quickly come into conflict
with Ryan, Seth (Adam Brody), Summer (Rachel Bilson) and Marissa
(Mischa Barton), whom he pegs as troublemakers.
Mabius
is the second addition to the cast of "The O.C." for 2005-06.
FOX announced last week that former "Boston Public" star
Jeri Ryan would have a recurring role as Kirsten's (Kelly Rowan)
fellow rehab patient and new friend.
Mabius
played adulterous surveillance expert Jeff McCann on "Eyes"
and Mia Kirshner's boyfriend on the first season of Showtime's "The
L Word." His other credits include "Resident Evil,"
"Cruel Intentions" and "The Minus Man."
