The OC star Mischa Barton credits her "cool"
mother with turning her into a style icon, because she instinctively
knows what will flatter her daughter.
The actress, who plays Marissa in the hit series,
relies on her mother to approve all her red carpet outfits and believes
her British influences enable her to stand out from other Hollywood
stars.
She says, "I go
to my mom for approval on everything style related. She grew
up in London in the 1960s and she is pretty cool."
"She knows what
looks good, I think she is the reason I favour the retro look."
