Blockbuster-clerk-turned-mega-hot-TV-star ADAM
BRODY, of the wildly popular FOX drama "The O.C.," graces
the cover of the upcoming issue of Teen Vogue (on newsstands August
10) with "Gilmore Girls" star ALEXIS BLEDEL. We go inside
the magazine's fun photo shoot as well as the entertaining article,
in which the curly-haired cutie reveals his way of dodging the occasional
mob of 14-year-old adoring fans!
"Like in 'The Fugitive,'"
he explains, "when HARRISON FORD hears sirens, he'll
just subtly steer the other way? I do that when I see groups
of teenage girls!"
The 24-year-old San Diego native, who confesses,
"I thought that success was literally, solely based on
how much you looked like RYAN PHILLIPPE," is clearly
making it on his own looks and talent -- as proof, fans will
soon see Brody opposite Hollywood A-listers BRAD PITT and
ANGELINA JOLIE in 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith.'
"I swear to
God, it's going to be awesome," he says of the romantic action
flick. "Like 'True Lies' if they were both ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER."
Brody,
who keeps quiet on his real-life romance with co-star RACHEL BILSON,
does discuss the Oscar®-winning actor that inspires him the most.
"Every movie he does," Brody says of TOM HANKS, "even
if it doesn't always work out, you know he did it because he thought
it could really be something incredible. He doesn't do filler movies
and he doesn't do anything just for the money."
Which
is what Brody is hoping "The O.C." will enable him to do.
"Now," he explains, "I'm only going to do work that
I think is really, really good."
